A mini family reuion

Two sisters, Nikki and Kim that don't see eachother very often. Nikki lives here in Maryland but Kim is in New Jersey.

This weekend Kim finally had a chance to come and visit, together with her 4 (!!!!!) .. did I mention 4 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) children (brave woman).

Together with Nikki's two kids we had a nice group of 6 kids and 3 adults walking around Centennial Park. Yup... Centennial park... in February. I just love it!!

I wish we could have done a later time because of the high sun but we had to work with what we could fit.

Meet Jade - a super sweet Rotti-Mix

I am looking to get a bit more into pet photography (no worries, I am not giving up any of my other areas... I'd just like to expand). So to practise a bit I have a few animals lined up of all shapes and sizes.

Jade was my first "target". I was actually not well prepared yet.. I still need to work on refining the picture that I have in my head on how to approach this and get some awsesome props. But it was a good start.

If I had know how good Jade is, I should have maybe started with a less well behaved dog to keep it real, haha. Jade is amazing!!

Curls, Curls and more Curls

This was my first time meeting 8 month old Harper. What can I say ... I loved her to pieces. Just look at her adorable cheeks and oh so cute curls!! I absolutely loved her uncontrollably curly hair!

 

Harper was such a great sport, did not cry at all and just seemed in awe of all the props and flashes. What a cutie!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Baltimore Bridal Show - So much fun!

This past Saturday and Sunday I spent the days in my booth at the Baltimore Bridal Show in the Baltimore Convention Center.

Saturday was crazy busy and Sunday was quite busy as well. I had such a great time meeting so many amazing people and beautiful brides.

Next to my booth were the nice ladie's of Rita's lucious cakes and I was smelling baked goods all day long. Talk about a tease!! I did get to try some though, so I guess I was a happy girl, haha!

A sexy valentines surprise!

I love Boudoir photos. I think every woman should have them for themselves even more so than for their significant others. I have taken Boudoir pictures of girls in all shapes and sizes. It does not matter if you are a size 2 or 14, every woman is beautiful. We just tend to focus on the negative parts of our bodies, but these pictures will focus on the positive.

With valentines day coming up, I have been shooting quite a few Boudoir sessions recently. I am always excited if I get permission to blog them!!

And to all of you girls out there that want Boudoir photos but you are too shy or self concious.. try it!

 

The way the session works... you come with 6 outfits that you want wear for the pictures. First, I will do your Make Up, which takes about 30 minutes. From there we will move to my studio which has a room connected to it that is set up for Boudoir photos.

You will have privacy to change into each outfit.

We will be taking some of the photos in the studio and some in the "Boudoir room", to get a nice variety. Some outfits and poses look better in a studio setting, others more in a room setting.

From start to finish plan to be here for about 2 hours, maybe a little longer.

In the session that I am sharing below you can see pretty much everything I just described above.

Happy 2nd birthday Julia!

Julia is one of my little clients that I have watched grow up. I have documented her since she was just born. I just love watching them grow and change.

Julia turned 2 years old yesterday, Happy Birthday princess!!!

For this session her mommy asked me to come to their home and get shots of her while playing in her familiar surroundings. She also wanted their dog Sadie in some of the pictures. Sadie is such a patient dog, it was too cute! Sadie and Julia seem to share a special bond (Julia feeds her treats and Sadie let's her do whatever she wants in return.. hey, works for them both)
